The cost of conveyancing can vary depending on the complexity of the transaction and the type of property involved. Factors like contract conditions, additional searches, or unique requirements can influence the final fee. At Coast to Coast Conveyancing, we provide clear, fixed-fee pricing where possible and outline any likely additional costs upfront. For the most accurate indication, it’s best to speak directly with our team about your specific property matter.
Conveyancing generally involves three main stages:
At Coast to Coast Conveyancing, we guide you through each of these stages clearly and efficiently, so you always know where things stand.
Conveyancing typically takes between four to eight weeks, depending on the terms of the contract and how quickly all parties provide necessary documentation. Delays can sometimes arise from finance approvals, property searches, or special conditions. Coast to Coast Conveyancing works proactively to keep your matter on track and will update you regularly on expected timeframes.
Ideally, you should engage a conveyancer as soon as you start considering buying or selling a property. Having a conveyancer review the contract before you sign ensures your rights are protected from the beginning. Coast to Coast Conveyancing can provide advice early on and manage the process from start to finish.
Conveyancers often provide more cost-effective services for property transactions, as they specialise exclusively in this area of law. Lawyers (or solicitors) may charge more due to their broader legal scope. At Coast to Coast Conveyancing, we focus on property matters and offer fixed-fee pricing, giving you specialist support and cost certainty.
It is possible to attempt conveyancing yourself, but it can be risky. The process involves complex legal documents, strict deadlines, and potential penalties if mistakes occur. Errors may also lead to future disputes or financial loss. Most people choose a licensed professional like Coast to Coast Conveyancing to ensure everything is completed correctly and with peace of mind.

Foster is a dairying and grazing town 174 kilometres (108 mi) south-east of Melbourne on the South Gippsland Highway in Victoria, Australia. At the 2016 census Foster had a population of 1,164. It is about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the Gippsland coastline which includes Shallow Inlet, Corner Inlet, Waratah Bay, Yanakie and Wilsons Promontory. == History == Originally called Stockyard Creek, after the stream which still flows through the centre of the town, Foster was initially just a resting place for drovers travelling from Port Albert to Western Port. This changed with the discovery of gold in the 1880s, leading to a (modest) gold rush. The post office opened on 20 February 1871 as Stockyard Creek and was renamed Foster in 1879 when the township was established. In 1870 a gold rush along Stockyard Creek resulted in the township of that name and in late 1884 following comments by the Police Magistrate from Sale (Mr William H Foster) that he couldn’t hold court in a creek the town suddenly became ‘Foster’. Previously a stockyard for drovers had been established along the creek but several miles from the ultimate township. The story of Foster is in a publication available at the Foster & District Historical Society Inc. The railway was extended to Foster in 1892.
